Tyler Cheney is a Certified Social Worker (CSW) with expertise in treating anxiety, PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), trauma, depression, life transition, phase of life problems, and suicide prevention/intervention. He is working in Ascendant's Salt Lake clinic in Murray.
Tyler has worked with adults in hospital settings, the Veterans’ Administration, inpatient psychiatric units, and outpatient clinics. He places a strong emphasis on providing evidence-based therapy services and incorporating research into the therapeutic process. His primary therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. He has a dynamic approach with an emphasis on family and interpersonal relationships.
He has a Bachelor degree in Psychology from the University of Utah and a Masters Degree in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles.
