Terri believes the foundation to healing happens when her client acquires the ability to become grounded and centered in working past their anxiety, shame, depression or personal struggles. Terri firmly views the client therapist relationship as being key to success in therapy. In her therapy she incorporates an emphasis on building on the client’s individual strengths, while working through personal struggles.
Terri also uses other therapeutic techniques including, mindfulness, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Experiential Therapy, Gestalt techniques, sand tray therapy and expressive arts.
Terri’s areas of specialty include trauma, childhood sexual abuse, sexual abuse, PTSD, women’s issues, and family of origin issues. She is LGBTQ friendly and has extensive experience working with depression, mood disorders, anxiety, suicidal ideations, self-harm, relationships and a variety of other issues.
