Norma Farris is an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC) working in Ascendant’s Lehi clinic. She works with children, adolescents and adults. Norma's approach with clients is client centered with an emphasis on self-acceptance, problem solving and coping skills using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Insight Oriented Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
Norma specializes in grief and loss, improving relationships, and Women's issues including emotional abuse. Her passion is helping people overcome obstacles in their lives that are preventing them from moving forward and reaching their goals. She received a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science from the University of Utah and a Master's degree in Counseling from Walden University.
Aside from her work, she loves spending time with her daughter, watching her in dance and musical theater. She also enjoys being outdoors, swimming, hiking, going to the movies or live theater, traveling and watching her nephews play sports.
