Kim England has been practicing as a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) for the past five years. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, LGBTQ issues, and relationship issues. Kim has experience with a diverse clientele in both inpatient and outpatient settings specifically working with clients who have experienced trauma. She is certified in and utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy). Kim feels that EMDR allows the element of choice and allows insight not often found in traditional therapeutic approaches. Kim has worked for programs specializing in trauma, trauma in attachment, substance dependency, and with children in foster care. She is most experienced working with children ages 12 and older as well as adults.
Kim believes the foundation to healing happens when her client acquires the ability to become grounded and centered in working past their anxiety, shame, depression, or personal struggles. Kim firmly views the client therapist relationship as being key to success in therapy. In her therapy she incorporates an emphasis on building on the client’s individual strengths while working through personal struggles.
