Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Group

DBT is proven to help with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and mood disorders.  Participants learn and practice skills that can be used over a lifetime.  It is truly life changing because it empowers individuals.  DBT teaches people to regulate their emotions and thoughts and to understand individual triggers that lead to harmful behaviors and depression. Participants learn to assess which coping skills to apply to help avoid undesired reactions.  Learn more about DBT here.

Teen Everyday Wellness Skills

This group is specifically designed for middle and high school age teens 13 to 18 using a carefully chosen mix of evidence-based therapy such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Creative and expressive methods are used to successfully engage with teens.  These methods include mindfulness and visualization techniques for anxiety and social skills and boundaries training.  Experiential activities, video clips, worksheets, psychoeducation, process, sharing, and feedback are also incorporated.

This group is online via Zoom.

Women’s Trauma Group

Traumatic experiences result from experiencing or witnessing a serious accident, natural disaster or violent act.  In this group women support each other in overcoming trauma by creating a sense of safety and self-empowerment.  Skills are taught to help manage relationships, manage thought processes, and motivate participants to create positivity and live their best life.

The group is held in-person at our Salt Lake Clinic in Murray.
