Gail Hilton has many years of experience in the mental health field. Gail worked with children and families through the Division of Children and Families at the Utah State Department of Social Services. She also worked in the In-patient Psychiatric Unit and in Crisis in the Emergency Department at LDS Hospital.
Gail enjoys working with patients age 16 to 90 plus. She specializes in anxiety disorders, depression, psychosis and bipolar disorder. She also helps clients with gender identity concerns, victims of sexual and physical abuse, trauma and substance abuse in a group or IOP setting. For management and control of anxiety and panic symptoms, she uses behavioral methods. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as supportive therapy and education are the mainstays of her practice. Her approach is eclectic; fitting the type of therapy to the need of the patient.
